I am glad that you all enjoyed watching "The Island". One of the issues explored in the movie is culture shock.
When Lincoln Six Echo and Jordan Two Delta escape from their subterranean world to the surface world, they are suddenly exposed to American culture for the first time, and they experience extreme culture shock.
What are some examples of American culture that were strange to Lincoln and Jordan?

the mivie is science mivie. It told us that people want freedom and they want to see the island very much. Every one wear the white and they have the rules seriously. I love the end of this movie. They save others .

i think america culture is really hard for linclne and jordan. because everything is new for their.but.it's free.everything is free.they can not feel this world. they don't understand something about this world. but free is better than not free.so. they will has a happy life forever
ReplyDeleteBasically,Lincoln and Jordan never see a real life,real city,world.They remained at the level of 15 years old children.For them, everything was new, unknown.Of course the result-culture shock.But,you can adapt and survive in concrete jungle.
ReplyDeleteTheir do not know have money in the world,their must pay bill when buy something.Their do not know need wear different clothing and think child is strange.Lincoln just drive but don't know have traffic laws.
